Liberty Mutual Information Systems is actively searching for an experienced Systems Administration Manager. In this role you will manage a professional and technical staff responsible for the operational support for large complex systems including installation, maintenance, support, and documentation of hardware/software procedures. You will be responsible for coordination of hardware and software installation and upgrades, and integration may span multiple sites. You will be responsible for system demands, and will recommend upgrades, expansions and reconfigurations, as well as organize and control the activities.

Responsibilities:

* Manages multiple projects, professional and technical staff, and related activities in this area.

* Assigns staff to various projects and directs their activities.

* Hires and manages a team of people; coaches, counsels and develops team members. Defines individual performance objectives and development plans and ensures alignment with project and organizational objectives. Appraises and evaluates team and individual performance and makes compensation recommendations.

* Participates in the development of business and/or I/S vision, critical success factors and operating plans.

* Develops and communicates unit vision, strategies, critical success factors and plans, and develops high-level migration plans.

* Works with customers and technical staff to resolve problems, and responds to suggestions for improvements or enhancements.

* Initiates and fosters business partnerships with clients, vendors, I/S and Business Managers, develops relationships that support increasing efficiency and effectiveness, and balances individual client needs with business priorities.

* Establishes financial plan for the unit and manages to plan.


Requirements

Qualifications:

* Bachelors or Masters Degree in technical or business discipline or related experience and a minimum of 8 years of technical and business experience in a technical environment.

* Project and administrative management skills and experience.
