Liberty Mutual Information Systems is actively searching for an experienced Systems Administrator. In this role you will manage Liberty Mutual's core monitoring and performance technologies. Day to day activities include: installing and managing monitoring and performance measurement tools, planning and implementing new monitoring & performance services, integrating tools in a heterogeneous environment, creating and analyzing capacity and performance reports for servers and software components.

Responsibilities:
* Monitor system performance and capacity, and reports changes in usage.
* Forecast system demand, recommends upgrades, expansion, and reconfiguration.
* Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, takes appropriate corrective actions and/or interacts with IT staff or vendors in performing testing, support, and troubleshooting functions.
* Participate in site set-up, user training, hardware/software installation, maintenance and support, and documentation of hardware/software logs and operating procedures.
* Perform basic user administration (adds, changes, deletes, disk space management, backups and file restores).
* Document standards and operating procedures for a large based system, and acts as a technical resource to the IT staff and systems users.
* Lead projects or subprojects including developing project plans, assigning tasks and facilitating team process.
* Consult on technical issues.

Requirements |
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and experience in systems operation and administration, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Knowledge of the operating environment including mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving.
* Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies.
* General knowledge of business functions and business operations.
