Liberty Mutual Personal Markets Claims IT is actively searching for experienced Software Developers who will leverage technology to develop business solutions within the Personal Markets Insurance Claims industry. In this role, you will work with a leading integrator in an Agile Scrum environment to help migrate from an older Claims application to the Guidewire ClaimCenter application.

Responsibilities:
* Analyzes technical system problems, and designs and implements effective solutions.
* Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
* May be asked to provide on-call support.
* Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
* Consults on technical issues.
* Investigates components of new tools and techniques.
* Contributes to the development of project plans, and assigns and monitors tasks of lower level Software Developers as responsibilities and experience grows.
* Specifically, would be the Technical Configuration developer or lead for a Guidewire ClaimCenter implementation with thorough knowledge of ClaimCenter application.
* Should be familiar with and expert in use of Guidewire's development environments around configurations.
* Must be able to instruct others in proper use of Guidewire tools both for interface development and rules design and implementation.
* Responsible for quality assurance reviews. Devises or modifies procedures to solve highly complex problems in the Claims business space. May lead projects or subprojects of significant technical complexity and responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members.
* Has thorough knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies especially in regards to Web Development, User Interface Design and Web Services, principally using Java and Gscript. Responsible for establishing best practices around program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation in a ClaimCenter implementation using Java and Gscript.

Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies, architectures and technical standards.
* Proficient in programming languages and tools.
* Knowledgeable in new and emerging technologies.
* Knowledge of design and development tools.
* Knowledge of layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs; understanding of shared software concepts.
