Responsibilities:
* Manages a professional and technical staff responsible for the operational support of our mainframe organization including installation, maintenance, support and documentation of hardware software procedures.
* Responsible for coordination of hardware and software installation and upgrades; integration may span multiple sites.
* Responsible for system performance and capacity.
* Forecasts system demands and recommends upgrades, expansions and reconfigurations; organizes and controls the activities.
* Drives and implements change and continuous improvement.
* Maintains breadth and depth of perspective, utilizing enterprise and industry/market trends.
* Sets department direction and motivates staff to achieve direction.

Requirements |
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in technical or business discipline or related experience; Master's Degree preferred. Generally more than 10 years related experience and exceptionally strong leadership and management skills.
* Deep knowledge of mainframe operations; Six Sigma experience desired.
* Experience with Jess 2, ZIIP, Z-Linux and environments with 5K + MIPS
In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies and their application to business opportunities.
* In-depth knowledge of business operations, objectives and strategies. I
* In-depth knowledge of project planning methodologies and tools and IT standards and guidelines.
* Advanced knowledge of management concepts, practices and techniques.
* Ability to promote a team environment consisting of several teams.
* Highly developed negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
* Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
