HACR's WorkForce 2002 report reveals:

• the US's 42.6 million Hispanics are the largest and youngest minority and equal 14 percent of the total population with a buying power of $630 billion dollars annually, exceeding the GDP of Brazil or Mexico.
• Hispanics represent 10.3 percent of the private sector workforce, but only 4.5 percent of managers and 3.8 percent of professionals.
• Hispanics account for less than 1 percent of executives of the 1,000 largest US companies.

Few Hispanics think merit is key to job advancement.
